Thwaites Dumpers celebrate 80-years of manufacturing

Last month marked a significant anniversary for Dumper manufacturer and Executive Hire Show exhibitor Thwaites, as 80-years ago manufacturing began at its Leamington Spa plant.

The evolution of the brand has seen it develop from an agricultural innovator in the 1930’s, to the company that supported the rebuilding of Britain in the late 1940’s, with the invention and production of the first dumper to enter the UK market.

Fast forward 80 years and the company has gone from strength to strength, continuing to lead the way in safety, innovation and investment, exceeding the expectations of todays 21’st century customers. To mark the occasion, the business has presented each member of its team with an inscribed presentation pint glass and two locally sourced beers, from micro brewer, the Warwickshire Beer Co.

Commenting Managing Director Ian Brown said; “We are delighted to have achieved 80 years of manufacturing on the same Leamington Spa site. As we reflect on what has been achieved thus far, we are proud of our contribution. We thank our loyal, skilled and dedicated workforce who remain committed and focused on our future. With increased machine and tooling investment at the factory, customers can be assured that our design and production standards will continue to lead the market as we head into the next phase of our history”.

Thwaites have been long-term exhibitors at the Executive Hire Show and the company will be back in 2018 on stand B47. An exciting array of products is promised so put 7th & 8th February in your diary and we’ll see you at the Hire event of the year at the Ricoh Arena Coventry. Registration is now open and it’s FREE!
