Steve McKenzie - October update
"It's great to be back for another round of Executive Hire Show hirer visits!
During October, my visits have taken me to North Wales, Warrington, Manchester and Ireland.
My annual tour of Ireland is always one of the highlights of the National Visitor Campaign for me and this year was no different! Between flights and driving, I travelled 1,331 miles and visited 34 hirers. The welcome that I received was amazing and I visited several areas that I had not been to before to spread the word about the Show further than ever! I flew into Belfast on Tuesday afternoon and headed south taking in Banbridge, Newry and Dundalk. My second day started in Drogheda, then on to Malahide, Dublin, Wicklow and Enniscorthy finishing up in Waterford. From Waterford I had a 3 hour drive across to Skibbereen ready for my first call on Thursday. After an early visit in Skibbereen, I headed to Bantry, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Tubbercurry. From Tubbercurry I had a long drive across to Coleraine ready for my first visit on Friday morning. My last day started off in Coleraine, then on to Ballymena, Cookstown, Dungannon, Craigavon, Carryduff and then finally into Belfast to finish of my tour.
The support that Passionate Hirers from all over Ireland give to the Show is second to none as they view the event as their best opportunity to look for new products and to meet up with other like minded hirers. A number of the hirers that I visited have already pre-registered for the 2018 Show and booked their flights. The observant amongst you may notice that my car is pictured outside the same two hire companies as last year, Skibbereen Tool Hire and CP Hire in Coleraine. If anyone doubts just how far me and the rest of the team are travelling to encourage Hirers to visit EHS 2018, just take a look at a map of Ireland and see where these two companies are based!"
